A Biggie For Bromborough

Vistry has submitted a Reserved Matters planning application for a major new residential development in Bromborough, Wirral, to deliver 534 new homes.

The plans include extra care accommodation, affordable housing and improved access to the River Mersey waterfront.

The proposals relate to a 35-acre brownfield site and comprise 424 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes, alongside an extra care facility providing 110 1 and 2-bedroom apartments.

The extra care development would include community amenities such as a bistro and hairdresser, helping to create a welcoming and accessible environment for residents.

Partnerships Model

Through its Partnerships Model, Vistry is proposing to provide affordable housing across at least half of the development in collaboration with registered provider partners. The remaining homes would be delivered for private sale through the Linden Homes and Bovis Homes brands.

Diverse mix of homes

Gareth Roberts, the regional managing director of Vistry Merseyside & Cheshire West, said: "We're pleased to have reached this important milestone with the submission of our Reserved Matters planning application for Bromborough. The proposals would deliver a diverse mix of homes, including extra care accommodation, alongside new public open space, improved access to the River Mersey frontage and enhanced connectivity through a new bus route and the extension of the Wirral Circular Trail."

Public realm

Vistry is proposing a range of measures designed to improve connectivity and enhance access to the waterfront. This includes the introduction of a new bus route through the development, the creation of an accessible promenade along the River Mersey frontage and an extension of the Wirral Circular Trail through the site. The scheme would also deliver new areas of public open space and play facilities, alongside biodiversity net gain measures and financial contributions towards local services and infrastructure.
