Feinstruktur’s Monster Moves

Feinstruktur foil emulates the look of powder‑coated aluminium. It is going to be a monster. At least two entrance door suppliers are applying the technology.

Hurst is using the foil on its PVC-U panel door range. Meanwhile DoorCo is offering it on its BRitDOR solid-core door blanks.

Eight Veka Feinstruktur, which translates as ‘fine structure’, colour finishes are now available from Hurst as the company looks tb back installers as they seek projects where a sleek, contemporary look is in demand.

“Aluminium-like looks continue to be very much on-trend, so the addition of the full Feinstruktur palette to our panel range allows fabricators that don’t make their own panels and installers to tap into that,” said Mark Atkinson, the sales director at Hurst.

“Another significant benefit is the possibility to achieve a seamless colour match between PVC-U panels and Halo or Veka window and door profiles. The result is a consistent finish across products.”

Available in Anthracite Grey, Black, Slate Grey, Quartz Grey, Basalt Grey, Silver Grey, Umber and Traffic White, Feinstruktur’s substantial palette reflects the sustained popularity of textured, aluminium-style products.


BRitDOR

DoorCo’s commercial director, Ben Aspinall, said: “Feinstruktur is a strong addition to Britdor, giving customers aluminium looks on a solid-core composite door. We do this by bonding unpressed Feinstruktur skins to our flush slab blank.

“Feinstruktur produces a textured, matt finish. This advanced coating offers excellent resistance to weathering, scratches and normal everyday wear, all while remaining easy for homeowners to maintain.”

Also on prepped

Aspinall added: “The finish is available on both our 44mm & 48mm BRiTDOR blanks and also on our prepped door designs including Augusta, Augusta Long, Oakmont and Square 4.”

Feinstruktur comes in Anthracite Grey, Black, Slate Grey, Quartz Grey, Basalt Grey, Silver Grey, Umber and Traffic White.

Heat and scratch resistant

Hardwearing and robust, its surface is designed to resist knocks and scratches, while infra-red pigments reflect thermal absorption to minimise warping and twisting. Practical and easy to clean, Feinstruktur is sustainably manufactured by Veka using recyclable materials, enhancing its eco credentials.

Picture: Veka’s Feinstruktur colour collection is now available across Hurst’s PVC-U panel range and DoorCo’s BRiTDOR blanks and prepped ranges. It works on windows too.
