A Seamless Integration

A Seamless Integration

A Haffner seamless cill welder has been installed at John Fredericks Plastics to boost efficiency across its manufacturing operation.

The fabricator distributes it products all over the UK. The company has established a long-term programme of investment despite the difficulties the market is facing.

The new machine has been introduced to optimise workflow at a key stage in the fabrication process, supporting increasing volumes and ensuring smooth throughput across the factory.

By partially automating the cill welding process, JFP has reduced wastage and increased efficiency whilst offering customers a higher quality finish of products.

Right-time investment

Mark Dicconson, the MD at JFP, said: “As demand continues to grow for us, we’re constantly reviewing our processes to identify where we can refine and improve. Investing in dedicated machinery ensures we maintain efficiency as volumes increase.

“We’ve always taken a proactive approach. It’s about making the right investments at the right time to support our team, protect quality and give our customers complete confidence in our capability.”

Workflow

The installation forms part of JFP’s wider strategy of continual reinvestment in machinery, facilities and systems. In recent years, the company has upgraded key areas of its production facility to increase automation, improve workflow and future-proof capacity in line with customer demand.

Trading for more than 56 years, the Huddersfield based manufacturer has built its reputation for being forward-thinking – investing ahead of demand to ensure quality, reliability and flexibility remain to the fore.
