Foiled Finish For FLiP

FLiP entrance door glazing cassettes will soon be available foiled to match Rosewood, Golden Oak and Irish Oak woodgrain doors.

The new FLiP cassette range delivers a consistent, profile matched woodgrain finish without the time and inconsistency of staining cassettes by hand.

DoorCo’s Strategy Director, Mark Towers, said: “The challenge of colour matching woodgrains on composite doors is well recognised. Until now, cassettes for stained doors have been finished by hand in several steps. Hand-staining cassettes has always been a slow process…and it's hard to get the same result every time. We've taken that out of the equation. Customers get a better finish and a perfect colour match. It's about creating something new that solves a real problem, not just repackaging what's already out there.”

FLiP will soon offer foiled Rosewood, Golden Oak and Irish Oak in seven key styles: Twin Vertical, Half Moon, Twin Top, Mid Panel, Half Glazed and Square (Standard & Flat Grain).

Towers added: “The first-of-a-kind foiled cassettes were developed initially for BRiTDOR to create a match for the foiled door skins. For BRiTDOR, the colour now matches across the slab, frame, cassette and as we also supply them foiled, drip bars too.

“The BRiTDOR range has been enhanced with a cleaner, more consistent finish that is ready to use straight off the shelf. And, the new options are also a brilliant match to the wider DoorCo range and will replace the current stained cassettes for ORiGINAL too once launched later this year.

“For the new foiled colour range, the wood stains are just the first step. We’re exploring further options that will give more choice and better efficiency to expand this range.

“And don’t forget, FLiP works on any door in the UK.”
