An Upstroke Of Genius
A saw that is great for standard aluminium and PVC-U production can’t always handle larger sections. The new MGS600 upstroke saw addresses that issue.
This new machine from Kombimatec has a 600 mm upstroke saw blade, giving manufacturers the additional headroom to cut larger aluminium profiles and heavily reinforced PVC sections without immediately needing another saw.
Growth without risk
“The additional capacity is increasingly important as manufacturers expand into aluminium bi-folds and sliders, commercial shopfronts, lantern roofs and hybrid systems,” said Kombimatec’s managing director David Parsons. “It gives them the flexibility to respond to the increasingly challenging market conditions without significant investment, facilitating growth at no risk.
“The MGS600 allows fabricators to respond to a broader range of work, while helping them avoid the cost and disruption of adding yet another machine as their product range develops.”
Accuracy and speed
The 600 mm upstroke format is designed to support a higher blade speed and a more stable cutting cycle. For fabricators, that means smoother mitres and cleaner edges. On PVC sections, cleaner cuts provide a better starting point for welding. On aluminium, they support clean edges for mechanical jointing, where accuracy and consistency are important to the finished frame.
What’s included?
The MGS600 can be set to cut at variable angles up to 75 degrees left and right. Vertical and horizontal pneumatic clamps help hold profiles securely, while automatic blade feed, a mist spray device for coolant, an adjustable rear fence and an air gun are included as standard.
Safety features
A key feature for fabricators is that the MGS600 is designed specifically with operator safety in mind. As an upstroke saw, the blade remains below the bed until the cutting cycle begins. This helps reduce operator exposure to the blade, keeps the work area cleaner and limits airborne swarf.
The interlocking safety guard must be closed and the clamps activated before the saw will operate, while two-button safety operation provides an additional safeguard during use.

The MGS600 is a semi-automatic machine intended for fabricators that need the flexibility to work with a broader range of profile sizes without compromising control over the cutting process. Its combination of capacity, angle adjustment, clamping and guarding makes it a practical addition for businesses moving into larger or more varied products.
